Paul and Steph met at the wonderful, amazing University of Southern California.
It was their senior year and they both had a few consulting classes together. With her intelligence in class, and of course her good looks (not to mention the fact that she was on the USC Dance Force), Steph quickly caught Paul’s eye. Paul just needed the right time to make his move…
One day, in between their two classes together Steph came up to Paul and asked him (by name) to watch her backpack while she went to grab some lunch. Paul was surprised that she knew his name, much less that they had 2 classes together. “Game Time” Paul thought.
Paul then got to work on the perfect plan to win Steph over…online flirting! Paul got Steph’s AOL screenname from a friend and decided to chat with her about class.
Paul: “How’s your studying going?”
Steph: “Good”
Paul: “Ready for the midterm?”
Steph: “Yup.”
Hmmm, not working out so well so far for Paul. Luckily Paul was persistent and continued to chat with her over the next week. While on spring break, Paul happened upon Steph online one night and they began to chat. This time, things went a little better. Paul was able to ask Steph on a date…and she said Yes!
A week later, Paul picked Steph up and they headed to The Grove on their first date. After a successful dinner at Maggiano’s and a movie, Paul and Steph both knew it could be the beginning of something special…and it was.
Thank God for that day when Steph asked Paul to watch her backpack.
